What You Need to Do

  1. Contact us — this is required

    You must let us know that you cannot pay your bill. We cannot help you if you do not contact us. Please call us as soon as possible — the sooner you call, the more options we have available to help you.

  2. Enter into a payment arrangement

    To avoid disconnection, you must enter into a payment arrangement. We will offer you several options to pay your winter electric bills in monthly installments that you can reasonably afford.

    In most cases, you must pay all that you owe us by the following November 1st.

What Happens If You Don't Contact Us

Failure to contact us may result in disconnection of your electric service with the approval of the Consumer Assistance Division of the Maine Public Utilities Commission. Do not let your bill get ahead of you — contact us as soon as you know you are having difficulty.
